The idea was simple: replace flimsy and costly manual tools to notch sheet metal. The design goal included air-powered perfect angles, fast and reproducible work and improved ergonomics.

Harnessing Simonds’ 80 years of pneumatic tool-making know-how, the team built a custom jaw set powered by our off-the-shelf pneumatic power packs to keep costs contained.

  • hard coat anodized

  • Steel pistons and all metal components

  • High-grade seals

  • Jaws are hardened to R/C 50-52

  • Dies are hardened to R/C 57/59
